Orders-to-CRM sync

Copies shop orders into your CRM, and running it twice makes no mess.

Covers: new shop orders into CRM deals and contacts, with no duplicates when it runs again.

Limit: The shop and the CRM are mock APIs. It has not been tested against a real vendor account.

What you get

  • This kit, set up on your data after a written brief.
  • Its test report: what we broke, what caught it and what got through.
  • A plain list of its limits, and a report or log after every run, so you can check the counts the next day.

What we need from you

  • A sample export, or access to a test copy of the tools it connects.
  • A written brief: what it should do and where you think it breaks.

Price: from $49, fixed quote in writing before any work.

Timing: the written quote states the delivery date.

The problem

A sync that copies shop orders into a CRM is only useful if running it twice makes no mess. A rerun, a crash halfway or a 'too many requests' answer is where double deals and double contacts come from.

What we broke

  • First run on 30 made-up orders: 26 deals created, 4 rejected with a reason, 0 duplicate deals and 0 duplicate contacts.
  • We ran it again with nothing new in the shop: 0 created, 0 updated.
  • We crashed it on purpose after 25 CRM writes, then reran it. The CRM equals one clean run.
  • We ran it over real HTTP against our mock services and injected one 429 'too many requests' answer. The counts still added up, and the CRM equals one clean run.
  • We made the CRM save a record and then lose its reply. The sync made no duplicate.

Before / after runOrders-to-CRM sync

Short video, no sound. The slides below show the same steps.
  1. Hook, two numbers from our crash test: 25 CRM writes, then a crash; 20 of 30 orders pulled on the rerun. Duplicates?
  2. Rerun report: 0 deals created, 0 deals updated, the one re-read order unchanged, duplicates in the CRM 0.
  3. Three rejected orders with reasons: missing email, invalid email, unknown status on-hold. 30 shop orders = 26 CRM deals + 4 open rejects (3 shown).
  4. Crash test: the sync crashes after 25 CRM writes, a rerun finishes, and the CRM equals one clean run. 34 tests passed, 34 of 34 planted bugs caught.
  5. Limits: mock shop and mock CRM only, not tested against a real vendor account. Follow for one tested kit at a time.

What it does after the fix

Each run pulls new orders and creates or updates deals and contacts without duplicates. Orders it cannot use, for example with a missing or invalid email, are set aside with a reason. Every run ends with a check that must add up: shop orders 30 = CRM deals 26 + open rejects 4 -> OK.

Limits

  • The shop and the CRM are mock APIs. It has not been tested against a real vendor account.
  • Our own demo kit, run on made-up data.

What happens after you write

  1. You write

Email us or send a DM on X: what it does and where you think it breaks.

  2. We ask a few questions

About your tools, your data and what counts as done.

  3. Fixed written quote

The quote states the price and the delivery date.

  4. Work starts only after you say yes

Nothing is built before you agree to the quote.
